The Life & Death of a Bug

Bugs have an interesting life in the Reed household.  John talks to spiders to let them know (in a nice way) of their impending demise before he kills them.  The children have learned from this.  They really like to squish bugs (especially Zoe).  But they like to enteretain them before then.  One day, Zoe stunned (didn't kill) a bug, carried it over to the swing, set it on the swing, and pushed it.  On another day, Zoe spent the entire morning killing buggies (aka flies).  Then she  put a bandaid on the dead fly.

JR spends time honing his technological skills.  JR started the morning by pulling the WallE dvd out, taking it upstairs, turning on the TV, and then watching Letter Factory.

You'll be happy to know that they are also very religious when they want to be.  Zoe and I had a mommy daughter date at Outback Steakhouse.  The wait was so long, I decided we could just eat at the bar (the high bar stools are quite exciting for the twins).  While we were sitting at the bar, Zoe said a prayer, blessing the food.  Wanting to encourage this sweet behavior, I quietly whispered "amen."  Then she demanded, "Mommy, it's your turn. SAY A PRAYER! BLESS THE FOOD!" in her loudest voice possible.  Everyone around us looked thoroughly enteretained by Zoe, who charms complete strangers with just a smile.

Your kids are impressive, in every which way! :) love your blog, especially the photos of the disasters. I'm always to busy fuming to think about getting my camera when my kids make a mess!
